I totally salute everyone who just accepted that they will not be welcomed by everyone they meet and just learned to fall in love with themselves and their own company.
Because instead of longing for people who refuse to love and get to know you, you used that energy on yourself.
At the end of the day, you won - even though you feel like such a loser.
Because of this, you developed such a hard and cold exterior and people who are intrigued by you, think you’re stuck up and too cool for friends….
And it’s so weird when people DO wanna be your friend or get to know you because you’re not used to that?
It also really does a number on your ability to trust people. Like “Do you actually like/love me, or are you playing a long con game that’s going to end in me being a laughing stock yet again?”
And this is on top of dampening your ability to feel closeness to people, even when you want to experience that closeness, adding to the doubts of “do they actually care for me? Do I care for them? I feel nothing :/”
